Just Before Exams - Important Tips

Once again that time of the year has come when the entire student community all across the country are going to face the exam challenge and are going to showcase the mettle of an entire academic year’s hard work. The stakes lie even higher with the students who are going to appear for the Board Exams 2026, and it is absolutely normal for them to feel excited, determined, and yes, a bit nervous too.

While a little nervousness can actually prove to be a great motivator, the key to remaining confident during the exam is preparation. With all the hard work already done by this time, keeping a few vital points in mind can really help in facing the exams with more confidence and less fear.

1

Don’t start a new topic or chapter, and avoid trying to solve difficult sample papers, just a day before the exam. Rather, use that time with patience and calmness to revise the topics you have already studied. Exam is not about knowing everything; it’s about being able to present the content that you know in a logically organized manner with confidence.

2

Get enough rest. An all-nighter just before the exam does more harm than good. A tired mind can never make sound decisions during the exam. So, give your mind and body the rest that they need to perform well in the exam.

3

Don’t skip meals or eat heavy food before the exams. Eat light and stay hydrated. Your body needs the right kind of nutrition to be able to perform well.

4

Comparing your preparation with your friends distorts your self-assessment and gives rise to unnecessary anxiety. So, focus on what you have prepared and don’t compare yourself with others.

5

On exam day, your goal is to stay calm, focused, and collected. With a clear mind, organized presentation, and smart time management, you have everything it takes to succeed. You are sure to rule!
