D Y Patil’s DPVN, Navi Mumbai, commemorated the World Environment Day with a Special Assembly, where the learners, the future global leaders of the world, emphasized the importance of protecting our environment through inspiring thoughts, and took a pledge to nurture the nature. Guided by our most Respected Principal ma’am, the occasion was graced by the presence of the esteemed guests, Shri R R Deoghare, Director, National Safety Council, Shri M M Shahane, Asst. Director (Admn), National Safety Council, and Shri T S Damare, Sr. Estate Officer, National Safety Council.
A meaningful, thought-provoking skit was performed by the Senior Secondary students showcasing practical and effective ways to save the environment. Principal Ma’am inspired young minds with her powerful address on environmental responsibility and sustainable action. A special address was delivered by the esteemed guest, Mr. Deoghare, who shared valuable insights and urged students to adopt eco-friendly habits. An interactive question-and-answer session followed, where the guests engaged with the students. The students responded with confidence and awareness, earning appreciation for their understanding and concern for environmental issues.
To mark the occasion, a tree plantation drive was carried out. The guests, Principal Ma’am, teachers, and students enthusiastically planted saplings, and the celebration concluded with a vibrant rally by the Senior students, raising slogans and carrying placards to spread awareness about environmental conservation in the nearby areas.
